Headley Fun Run

Hi Folks,

Really great event this. On our doorstep. This Monday at 10am.

5 Miles of trails and paths and a bit of an uphill road... but nothing compared to the Punchbowl ;o)

There is also a shorter run for U14s that will suit our junior members.

Patsy I know is going, probably Bob, and there is a chance I might wear my HBAC vest for the first time since August last year... so you don't want to miss that !!

Headley Fun Run.

After the run we can go and see Bob and co at the Charter Fair in the Afternoon.

Cheers,
DB

Private viewing of “Eddie the Eagle” for Women V Cancer

Dear HBAC runners,cyclists and swimmers,

Please buy tickets and support us…we need you there and it would be really lovely to see you.
Kathy and Tania (otherwise known as “The Chuckle Sisters”) to the trainers, are undertaking a 450k bike ride through Cambodia and Vietnam to raise money for ovarian, breast and cervical cancer charities.
We may be begging borrowing and stealing to achieve our massive £3200 goal each later in the year but until then, we felt it would be fun to kick off our fund raising with a private viewing of “Eddie the Eagle” at Alton Cinema on Friday 15th April. Drinks 7.30pm, film starting 8.00pm
This is a great fun film (PG 13) debuting in the cinemas at the end of February so hold on till April, bring the family and come and see it with us on FRI 15th and enjoy the film with a glass of bubbly too.

Buy your tickets now for only £15.00 to include bubbly, beer or soft drink. Email tania@whishaw.cc or kathy.brown999@gmail.com to confirm how many tickets you would like to purchase and make payment to our designated charity account by:-

Update from the Get Up and Run Group.

In January we started our get up and run group which is designed for people who haven't run before or who have been out of the game for a while.

Our runners grew to 18 in the first few weeks and we braved freezing conditions, sleet snow and horizontal rain, but that didn't stop our hardy bunch turning up and getting the job done. The temperatures climbed, so did we, conquering the Big B at the Punchbowl ! and increasing the time on our feet each week.

We are now running for 30 minutes and well on target for the 4th April when we will complete the course at Alice Holt park run. If anyone would like to join us supporting from the side, or accompanying us around, we would love to see you there.

Amanda and Anna.
