Southern Cross Country Results.

Hi Folks,

Can I also add my own thanks to all involved in making today happen.

Absolutely brilliant morning.

Big thanks to Jonathan working with us in the results nerve centre. We worked as fast as we could in a calm and controlled manner... Plus Jonathan had to climb a ladder half way through to stop a major water leak at the school !!!

Anyway... results spreadsheet is attached to have a look at. All 23 clubs competed today with just 5 clubs unable to get a complete team.

CONGRATULATIONS HBAC... well done captains Sian and Andy for getting us soooooooo close to winning the league.

Rich... feel free to tidy up what I've uploaded if you wish ;o)

Cheers

Southern Cross Country League – Race 1, Pamber Forest, Sunday Oct 11th @ 11am

Yessss.

The start of the cross country season is upon us... and the rain we are getting.. means it will be wet and muddy ;o)

It takes a good hour to get to Pamber Forest near Basingstoke... so we will be leaving the Woolmer Hill bottom car park at 9am. That will give us enough time to set up the event shelter get the flag set up....warmed up etc etc etc.

For those of you that haven't tried one of these races before.. have a look at last years race report just below in this post ;o)

Some things to think about before the event.

What you will need is a Club Vest ... let Sian and Andy know if you haven't got a vest... ideally you will also need to think about getting some trail shoes. Trail shoes will help you stay on your feet if it is very wet and muddy...

Also remember to bring dry clothing to change into plus a clean pair of socks and spare shoes...plus a bin liner to keep your spare clothes and shoes DRY if its raining... You will also need £2 to get some food and a cup of tea/coffee laid on by the hosts Basingstoke and Mid Hants after the race ;o)

Finally no one is too SLOW... there is just a speed limit on being too FAST... for example... Luke S is now too FAST, thanks to his superb time at last weeks Battersea 10K.... but thats good news for Sofia... as Luke can look after the family while Sofia runs ;o)

Last years report is here Pamber 2014 . so have a read ...

Sian and I look forward to seeing you all on Sunday... it will be great to see some new faces running for HBAC... Come and talk to us at training if you have any questions.

C'mon Border...
