HBAC Christmas Pub Run – Thursday 21 December

CHRISTMAS PUB RUN NEXT THURSDAY, 21st DECEMBER!!! 7pm from the Mill Tavern.
Our annual, fantastic, Christmas pub run is happening next week and we're hoping to see as many of you as possible, tinselled/dressed up and fully festive next Thursday - a great chance to practice running and drinking ahead of the world famous Boxing Day Run.
It is also a chance for our hard working coaches to have a night off and hopefully be bought a drink or two.
It'd be nice to stick together throughout and as such here are some outline venue timings for reference. Don't hang around if you're ready to move to the next place as having a staggered entry will aid the serving efficiency!
- park your car wherever you want and run to the Mill Tavern for 7-7.10pm (if you want to get a bit more of a run in beforehand feel free to arrange this amongst your groups and pals).
- around 7.40pm run to the Apple Tree
- head off from the Apple Tree to the Station House around 8.30pm, before moving into town after one drink to finish at the White Horse until closing (why not, it's Christmas!).
***Please be super careful on the roads and pavements and amongst pedestrians. It is not a coached or HBAC led session and you take part at your own risk....look out for each other and have a great, safe night***

Photos needed for the New HBAC website.

As you may know, some of us are working on a little overhaul to the HBAC website and we need some new, professional looking images showcasing our local area and our members in action. If anyone has any, we'd love to use them! I'm after hi-res, professional quality pictures, they must be out of copyright (e.g you must have purchased the images if you're not the photographer), not watermarked and preferably in club vests.

Please send them on to claireebeswick@gmail.com

Thanks!

Hart Road Runners welcome you to the 4th race of this season’s series to be held at:
Lord Wandsworth College, Long Sutton, Hants. RG29 1TB.
Lord Wandsworth College can be reached from the M3 J5. Take the A287 then B3349 via North Warnborough and Odiham. Go past the RAF Station and turn left at the bottom of the hill, through Long Sutton village. The College gates are just beyond the Four Horse Shoes public house. From Alton, take the B3349 to Hook then turn right just past South Warnborough. Go through Long Sutton village as above.

Car parking is within the College grounds and will be signposted from the gates.
Toilets will be available close to the start, but unfortunately there are no changing facilities.
Runners and spectators will not have access to the sports hall before the race.

The course is just under 8 km long, undulating and is mostly woodland tracks and paths. Where possible any obstacles and hazards will be clearly marked or marshalled. The whole course is within the grounds of the college

Refreshments will be served in the Sutton Sports Hall at the cost of £1:50. Please ensure that muddy shoes / boots are not worn in the hall after the race. As an incentive to encourage car sharing all drivers with three or more runners in their vehicle, will be issued one voucher for free refreshments.

Training 12:12:17

FYI
I’ve decided, due to the weather conditions and for your health and safety, to cancel tonight’s training session. I’m currently at Grayshott/Hindhead and the pathways are so bad that they won’t be clear by tonight.
Please look out for information about Thursdays session hopefully it will be clear.
