Haslemere Border Athletic Club has an active junior section for young athletes aged 7 to 17 which meets on Tuesday evenings. The training groups are split as follows:

U11s (school year 6 or below), provides all round athletic (run/jump/throw) sessions aimed at introducing the athlete to fundamental skill and movements as well as the disciplines themselves

O11s (Year 7 upwards), has two groups : The Endurance group which targets the Energy systems Lactate/Aerobic using repetition based running exercises (latest session plan here); and Athletics Event group specialisation sessions which develop and improve skills in particular disciplines (run, jump or throw depending on the interests of the group)

The sessions take place every Tuesday from 5.45pm-6.45pm at the Woolmer Hill track (although during the winter the U11s will train indoors and the time and venue may differ)

If your son/daughter or anyone else you know how has a child who would like to train with us, we have a waiting list which we actively look at ways of reducing, so please contact Charlie with your son or daughter’s name and date of birth (note that fees can be found on the membership page)
