Duathlon & Triathlon

Welcome to the multi-sport section of Haslemere Border AC.

Our members like to swim and bike as well as a good run. If you’re reading this you will most likely be interested in linking them together as well.  We hope you’ll try us out at one of our sessions and feel the benefit of our friendly training environment and the expertise of our coaching team who want help you to achieve your goals.

We have triathletes with a wide range of experience from novice’s training for their first event to those representing GB on the international scene. We compete in a range of events including Aquathlon (swim and run), Duathlon (run/bike/run) and Triathlon (swim/bike/run) at a range of distances from Sprint through to Ironman. Training Sessions

The following is representative of our weekly schedule, the calendar provides the most up-to-date details of our sessions. For swim sessions we

Monday 20:30 - 21:30   Swimming^, Herons Leisure Centre
Tuesday 19:00 - 20:00   Running session with club, Woolmer Hill
Wednesday 19:00 - 20:00   Cycling, Costa Coffee Haslemere ((May-September, 16mph average speed)
Thursday 19:00 - 20:00   Running session with club, Woolmer Hill
Saturday 09:00 - 10:00   Informal Running Hill session, Punchbowl Cafe in Hindhead

1st Saturday of Month this reverts to 5k Time Trial followed by hills for those wanting more.

07:00 - 08:00   Open Water Swim*, Mytchett Lake (May-August)
Sunday 08:30 - 10:30   Cycling, various starting points

^Please note we cannot provide swimming lessons. However we can offer stroke improvement as part of our regular schedule, please consult the calendar for details of the next session.

*Please note that for Open water swimming sessions we do not recommend you attend unless you can swim at least 500m without stopping. Also please do not attend for the first time without contacting a member of the coaching team.
