Gibbet Hill 10k Another Great Success

Glorious sunshine, a challenging course, outstanding performances and a festival atmosphere made this year's Gibbet Hill 10k another memorable success. Find out how around 200 runners enjoyed one of Surrey's favourite summer trail races.

Haslemere Border AC's Gibbet Hill 10k once again proved to be one of Surrey's most popular summer trail races, with around 200 runners enjoying a glorious evening of racing despite the unusually warm conditions.

The challenging course, featuring around 200 metres of elevation gain, tested competitors, and an additional water station was provided to help runners cope with the heat. At the finish on Lion Green, the Haslemere Town Band created a wonderful festival atmosphere, with runners, volunteers and spectators staying on to enjoy refreshments and the prize presentations.

Race Director Stephen Sutton praised the event, highlighting the fantastic community spirit and the overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants, particularly about the marshalling, course marking and post-race atmosphere.

Haslemere Border AC would like to thank all the volunteers, marshals, sponsors, the Haslemere Town Band and everyone who helped make the evening such a memorable success. We look forward to welcoming runners back next summer.
