HBYA Young Athletes Shine at the Butser Hill Challenge

Haslemere Border Young Athletes (HBYA) enjoyed an excellent outing at this year’s Butser Hill Challenge, with two club members tackling the demanding junior 3km fell race in the South Downs National Park.

Betty made a fantastic first appearance for HBYA, taking first place in the Year 9 category in an impressive time of 13:12. Fraser also delivered an excellent performance, finishing sixth in 14:48.

Both athletes showed great determination on the challenging course and represented the club brilliantly. Their performances are a credit to their hard work, and we look forward to seeing them take on more events in the future.

Next up: the Blackdown Hill Race!

HBYA is looking forward to a strong team presence at Blackdown, with another opportunity for our young athletes to test themselves, gain valuable experience and enjoy competing together.
